Acts 10:28
“He said to them, “You yourselves know how it is an unlawful thing for a man who is a Jew to join himself or come to one of another nation, but God has shown me that I shouldn’t call any man unholy or unclean.”
What does Acts 10:28 mean?
Peter is describing a major shift in his understanding of God's character. Jewish law included strict rules about separation from non-Jews, and Peter had followed these all his life. But through a vision and the Holy Spirit's guidance, he realized that God welcomes people from every background, and that his old categories of "acceptable" and "unacceptable" people don't reflect God's heart.
