What does 2 Timothy 4:19 mean?
Paul is sending warm greetings to people who clearly mattered to him. Prisca and Aquila (also called Priscilla and Aquila elsewhere) were a couple who traveled with Paul, taught Scripture together, and opened their home as a gathering place for the early church, so this greeting honors their partnership and faithfulness. Onesiphorus and his household had shown Paul practical kindness when others turned away from him, so naming them here is Paul's way of saying their care made a real difference. Even in what may be Paul's final letter, he takes time to acknowledge specific people by name. It's a small reminder that faith isn't lived in isolation—it's built through relationships with others who encourage us, teach us, and show up for us when things get hard.
