What does 2 Thessalonians 1:12 mean?
Paul is expressing his deepest hope for the young church at Thessalonica: that their lives would become living evidence of Jesus' goodness and power. When people see how they handle hardship, treat each other, and trust God, the character of Jesus himself becomes visible and honored. The beautiful part is that this works both ways. As Jesus is glorified through them, they're also lifted up and transformed by him, growing into who they're meant to be. Paul reminds them this whole thing is possible only through grace, not through their own effort or perfection. It's about being caught up in something larger than themselves, where their growth and Jesus' reputation are mysteriously intertwined.
