What does 2 Samuel 7:27 mean?
David is responding to an incredible promise: God has told him that instead of David building a house (temple) for God, God will build a dynasty, a lasting "house" for David's family. This revelation has moved David so deeply that he feels compelled to pray, to respond with his whole heart to what God has promised. What makes this moment so touching is David's humility.
