What does 2 Samuel 6:12 mean?
When David hears that God's blessing has overflowed onto Obed-Edom's entire household because the ark of the covenant stayed there, he recognizes this as a sign that it's safe to move forward. Rather than staying paralyzed by his earlier fear (the ark had caused an accidental death), David takes courage from seeing God's goodness at work.
