What does 2 Samuel 19:20 mean?
Shimei is desperately trying to make amends after he had cursed King David during a difficult period when David was fleeing Jerusalem. Now that David has returned to power, Shimei rushes to be among the first to welcome him back, hoping his quick repentance and visible support will spare him from judgment.
