What does 2 Samuel 16:5 mean?
During one of the darkest moments of David's life, when he was fleeing Jerusalem after his own son Absalom's rebellion, he encountered Shimei on the road. Shimei, who was related to King Saul's family, saw this as his chance to vent old grievances, hurling curses at David as he passed through town.
