What does 2 Samuel 14:15 mean?
A woman who has lost her son is finally getting the courage to ask King David for help, and she's explaining why she's taken this risky step. She's terrified, honestly, but the people around her pushed her forward because they believed the king might actually listen to her plea. There's something very human here, in how fear and hope mix together, and in how sometimes we need others to believe in us before we can be brave enough to ask for what we need. She's admitting her vulnerability while also expressing her fragile faith that the king's heart might be open to her.
