What does 2 Samuel 11:16 mean?
When King David wanted Uriah out of the way (because David had taken Uriah's wife Bathsheba), he asked his military commander Joab to arrange Uriah's death in battle. This verse shows Joab deliberately placing Uriah in the most dangerous position during the siege of Rabbah, essentially sending him to be killed. It's a moment that reveals how one person's sin (David's) can pull others into committing terrible wrongs, and how power used without conscience spreads corruption through an entire leadership.
