What does 2 Peter 3:12 mean?
Peter is inviting us to live with an active, eager hope toward Christ's return. Rather than sitting passively, he's saying we should genuinely long for the day when God remakes everything, when the current broken systems of this world burn away and are renewed. This isn't morbid dread about destruction, but joyful anticipation of restoration, like longing for someone you love to come home.
