What does 2 Kings 8:28 mean?
King Ahaziah of Judah joined forces with his northern neighbor King Joram in a military campaign against the Syrian king Hazael. During the battle at Ramoth Gilead, Joram was wounded in the fighting. This moment marks the beginning of a painful downward spiral for both kings: Joram's wound would prove fatal, and Ahaziah's decision to support him would lead him to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, ultimately costing him his life as well.
