What does 2 Kings 6:27 mean?
The king of Israel is speaking here to a desperate woman during a terrible famine in the city of Samaria. His words are blunt, almost helpless, expressing that he has no resources left to offer her, no grain from the harvest or wine from production. He's essentially saying: if God doesn't intervene, there's nowhere else to turn. What makes this moment poignant is that the king recognizes his own powerlessness.
