What does 2 Kings 22:8 mean?

During repairs to the temple, workers discovered an ancient scroll—the book of the law—that had apparently been lost or forgotten for generations. When the high priest Hilkiah handed it to Shaphan, the royal secretary, and Shaphan actually read it, something remarkable happened: the nation was about to be transformed by rediscovering God's written word. This moment became a turning point in Judah's spiritual history, sparking genuine reform as the king and people encountered God's instructions as if for the first time. There's something deeply human in this story: sometimes what we need most is already there, waiting to be found and read with fresh attention and an open heart.
