What does 2 Kings 15:18 mean?
This verse describes King Menahem of Israel, whose reign was marked by continuing the religious practices that had led the northern kingdom away from worshipping God properly at the temple in Jerusalem. Long before Menahem's time, King Jeroboam had set up alternative worship centers with golden calves, and successive kings kept this pattern going rather than turning back to the Lord.
