What does 2 Kings 13:19 mean?
The prophet Elisha had just performed a symbolic act for the king of Israel, telling him to strike arrows on the ground to represent victories over Syria. When the king stopped at three strikes instead of continuing, Elisha's anger reveals something important about the spiritual reality behind that moment: the number of strikes mattered because it represented the king's level of faith and commitment.
