What does 2 Kings 10:31 mean?
Jehu was a king who did some things right, including removing idolatry and cleaning up corruption, but his heart was never truly turned toward God. Even though he made outward reforms, he kept clinging to the same false worship practices that had trapped Israel for generations, the sins that an earlier king named Jeroboam had introduced centuries before. The passage shows us that going through the motions of religious change isn't the same as genuine transformation, and that partial obedience, no matter how impressive it looks, misses the mark when we're not fully committed to following God.
