2 Corinthians 5:10

What does 2 Corinthians 5:10 mean?
Standing before Christ one day is something Paul says applies to all of us, and he frames it not as something to dread but as a moment of reckoning where our lives will be seen clearly. What matters in that revealing is what we actually did with our time here, the choices we made and the person we became through those choices. It's a humbling thought: nothing hidden will stay hidden, and we won't be able to blame circumstances or other people for what we chose to do. At the same time, Paul isn't describing arbitrary punishment or reward, but a natural consequence, a receiving back of what our own hands have worked for.
