2 Corinthians 4:18

What does 2 Corinthians 4:18 mean?
Paul is inviting us to shift where we fix our attention during difficult times. When life feels overwhelming, our eyes naturally land on what we can measure and touch: the problem in front of us, the loss, the limitation. But Paul suggests that what we see right now is temporary, while what we can't yet see, God's faithfulness and our ultimate redemption, will outlast everything else. This doesn't mean ignoring real problems or pretending difficulty isn't real. Rather, it's about refusing to let temporary circumstances be the loudest voice in our head. When you're walking through a hard season, you might hold both things at once: acknowledging the real pain today while also trusting that God's unseen work on your behalf and in you is the deeper reality. That invisible reality, Paul says, is what actually lasts.
