What does 2 Corinthians 3:5 mean?
Paul is reminding us that we don't have what it takes on our own to do meaningful work or live well, and that's okay. He's saying our ability to think, create, serve, or accomplish anything worthwhile ultimately comes from God, not from our own strength or cleverness. This is particularly comforting when you're facing something that feels too big for you. Rather than a put-down, Paul frames this reality as liberating: we're not meant to be self-sufficient.
