What does 2 Corinthians 3:13 mean?
Paul is contrasting two ways of leading people spiritually. Moses wore a veil when he came down from meeting God, partly because the Israelites found his radiant face frightening, but Paul suggests Moses also used it to hide the fact that God's glory was fading away, meaning the old covenant system was temporary. When we follow Jesus instead, Paul says we don't need to hide anything, because we're part of something permanent and we can be completely honest about who we are and what we believe. This is about the freedom and transparency that comes when we stop trying to maintain an old system and embrace what God is doing now.
