What does 2 Corinthians 2:15 mean?

When Paul writes that believers are a "sweet aroma of Christ," he's drawing on the Old Testament image of sacrifices that pleased God, evoking something precious and acceptable. He's saying that our very presence and witness in the world carries the presence of Christ to those around us, whether they recognize it or not. For some people, encountering Christ through us leads to life and healing, while for others it might prompt resistance or rejection, yet our faithfulness matters either way. The beautiful part is that we don't have to perform or achieve anything special to have this impact, we simply carry Christ with us as we live.
