2 Corinthians 2:12
βNow when I came to Troas for the Good News of Christ, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord,β
What does 2 Corinthians 2:12 mean?
Paul had traveled to the city of Troas expecting to find his friend Titus and to preach the gospel there. A "door being opened" is his way of saying that God created an opportunity for him to share his faith with people who were willing to listen. Even though Paul was anxious about meeting Titus, he recognized that God had put this moment and these people in front of him for a reason. It's a simple but powerful image: when circumstances align and people become receptive to hearing about Jesus, that's God at work opening the way forward.
