What does 2 Corinthians 13:3 mean?
Paul is defending his authority as an apostle to the Corinthian church, who apparently doubted whether Christ was really working through him. He's saying that if they want evidence that Christ is genuinely speaking through him, they'll find it not in harsh words or threats, but in the real, transformative power of Christ working in their own lives and community. It's a beautiful flip: instead of Paul proving himself through force or eloquence, the proof is simply that Christ's strength is visibly changing them from the inside out. He's inviting them to look at their own spiritual growth and transformation as the answer to their skepticism.
