What does 2 Corinthians 11:6 mean?
Paul is acknowledging something his critics apparently used against him: he wasn't a polished public speaker like some of the other apostles or traveling teachers in his time. But he's making clear that his words might sometimes be rough around the edges, his knowledge and understanding of Jesus and God's purposes run deep. He's saying, "Look at what you've actually seen from me and my companions—our lives, our work, how we've shown up for you. That's what matters." There's comfort here for anyone who feels inadequate because they can't talk smoothly or impressively. Effectiveness in faith and love doesn't require eloquence. Sometimes the most genuine, life-changing witness comes from people who are simply faithful and transparent, stumbling words and all.
