2 Corinthians 11:4

For if he who comes preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or if you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different “good news”, which you did not accept, you put up with that well enough.

What does 2 Corinthians 11:4 mean?

Paul is gently calling out the Corinthian church for tolerating false teachers while being harsh with him. He's pointing out the irony: they'll accept someone preaching a distorted version of Jesus, a different spiritual power, or a corrupted message, yet they critique Paul who brought them the genuine gospel. There's a sting of sarcasm in "you put up with that well enough," as if to say, you're surprisingly patient with deception. His real concern isn't his own reputation but that the community is vulnerable to teaching that twists who Jesus is and what salvation actually means.
