What does 2 Corinthians 11:33 mean?

Paul is describing a desperate escape from Damascus, where he'd made enemies powerful enough to have him watched constantly. Rather than face arrest (or worse), his followers literally lowered him out a window in a basket, letting him down the city wall to safety below. It's a humbling image for someone we often think of as bold and fearless, yet it shows the very real danger he faced for his faith, and how sometimes survival means accepting help and fleeing rather than standing your ground. This moment reminds us that courage isn't always about confrontation, and that asking for and accepting rescue is sometimes the wisest choice.
