What does 2 Corinthians 10:1 mean?
Paul is opening his defense against critics who were saying his letters were harsh and threatening, but he was timid in person. He appeals to the example of Jesus, whose humility and gentleness should shape how they treat one another. Paul is essentially saying, "I'm asking you as a follower of Christ to hear me out, even though some of you think I'm inconsistent."
