What does 2 Corinthians 1:4 mean?

God doesn't waste our pain. When we go through hard times and experience his comfort, we're being prepared to offer real, deep comfort to others who suffer. We're not just receiving help for ourselves, but we're gaining something precious we can share. This creates a beautiful cycle: the very comfort that steadies us during our darkest moments becomes a bridge we can extend to someone else walking through their own valley. Because we know what it feels like to hurt and to be held through that hurt, we can sit with others in their pain without platitudes or distance. We understand.
