What does 2 Corinthians 1:16 mean?

Paul is sharing his travel plans with the Corinthian church and, more importantly, expressing how much their support means to him. He's telling them he wants to visit them twice, not just once, and that he hopes they'll help send him onward to his next destination in Judea. What makes this simple itinerary meaningful is that Paul views the church not as a pit stop, but as genuine companions in his ministry, people who will strengthen him for the journey ahead and participate in his work by their encouragement and practical help.
