What does 2 Chronicles 29:4 mean?

When King Hezekiah took the throne, he found the temple in disarray and wanted to restore proper worship. His first step was to call together the priests and Levites, the men responsible for leading religious life, by gathering them in a large open area on the east side of the temple complex. This wasn't just a casual meeting, but a deliberate assembly to prepare them for the sacred work of cleaning and rededicating the temple. The fact that he gathered them together shows his intention to unite them around a common purpose and make clear that restoring worship to God was the community's shared responsibility.
