“Then Hezekiah answered, “Now you have consecrated yourselves to Yahweh. Come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into Yahweh’s house.” The assembly brought in sacrifices and thank offerings, and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt offerings.”
What does 2 Chronicles 29:31 mean?
King Hezekiah is calling the people to respond to their spiritual renewal by bringing offerings to God's temple, and he's inviting anyone whose heart moves them to participate. The point isn't that God needs the animals themselves, but that these gifts represent gratitude, commitment, and the people's desire to reconnect with Him after a time of spiritual neglect.
