What does 2 Chronicles 26:16 mean?
King Uzziah had everything going well, his kingdom was thriving, and he'd accomplished much, but success went to his head. He became so confident in his own power that he thought the normal rules didn't apply to him anymore, so he walked into the temple and performed a sacred ritual that only the priests were authorized to do. It's a cautionary story about how easy it is to drift from humility into arrogance when things are going well, and how that pride can lead us to ignore the boundaries and values we once held dear. The point isn't that strength or accomplishment is bad, but that it requires us to hold our hearts even more carefully, remembering that we're not the center of everything.
