2 Chronicles 22:6
“He returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which they had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.”
What does 2 Chronicles 22:6 mean?
King Ahaziah of Judah had been wounded in battle and went to Jezreel to recover, where his uncle King Jehoram of Israel was also ill. During this visit, Ahaziah was caught up in a violent coup that would end his life. This moment captures how quickly circumstances can shift: he came seeking healing in what seemed like a safe family gathering, but instead found himself in the middle of a deadly power struggle. Sometimes the hardest part of faith is accepting that our plans and expectations don't determine what actually happens, and that God's purposes work through circumstances we never see coming.
