What does 2 Chronicles 16:6 mean?
King Asa of Judah had just won a conflict with his northern neighbor King Baasha, and rather than simply celebrating the victory, he got practical about rebuilding. He took the construction materials that Baasha had used to fortify the city of Ramah (which sat on the border between their kingdoms as a threat to Judah) and repurposed them to strengthen two cities of his own: Geba and Mizpah. It's a picture of resourcefulness and resilience, turning what was meant as an enemy's stronghold into building blocks for his own nation's defense.
