2 Chronicles 14:2
“Asa did that which was good and right in Yahweh his God’s eyes;”
What does 2 Chronicles 14:2 mean?
King Asa made choices that lined up with what God values, not just what looked good on the surface or what made him popular. The verse is setting up his story to show us what happens when a leader genuinely tries to follow God's direction rather than just going along with whatever everyone else is doing. In his culture, there was real pressure to go along with the religious practices of neighboring kingdoms, but Asa chose a different path. His willingness to do what was right, even when it was harder, became the foundation for the good things that followed in his reign.
