1 Timothy 4:6

If you instruct the brothers of these things, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which you have followed.

What does 1 Timothy 4:6 mean?

Paul is encouraging Timothy to teach others the truths he's learned, assuring him that doing so will actually strengthen his own spiritual life. When we share what we've discovered about faith with those around us, we're not depleting ourselves, but rather deepening our own understanding and connection to Jesus. There's something nourishing about passing on genuine, life-giving teaching, whether that happens in a formal setting or just in everyday conversations with friends and family. This verse reminds us that being a faithful follower often means being willing to share what we know, trusting that both we and those we teach will grow closer to Christ in the process.
