What does 1 Samuel 9:6 mean?
A servant encourages his master, Saul, to seek out a respected prophet (Samuel) who might help them find some lost donkeys. The servant's confidence isn't based on magic or manipulation, but on Samuel's track record: what this man of God says actually comes to pass. There's a beautiful humility here, too, in suggesting they visit someone wise rather than relying only on their own search efforts. Sometimes when we're stuck or lost, the most practical thing we can do is seek out someone whose judgment we can trust, someone whose words and life align with truth.
