What does 1 Samuel 6:11 mean?
The Philistines had captured Israel's sacred ark and suffered plagues as a result, so they decided to send it back. Before returning it, they prepared a guilt offering: a wooden cart pulled by cows, along with golden replicas of the mice and tumors that had afflicted their land during the ark's time in their territory.
