What does 1 Samuel 22:20 mean?
When King Saul grew jealous of David, he turned his rage against the priests who had helped him. Abiathar was the only survivor from his family's priestly line, and his escape to join David meant he carried both the priestly knowledge and the trauma of that tragedy with him.
