What does 1 Samuel 22:10 mean?

Ahimelech the priest was asked by David (who was fleeing from King Saul) for help, and this verse describes how he responded with genuine care. He sought God's guidance about whether to help David, provided him with food for his journey, and even gave him the famous sword that David had taken after defeating the giant Goliath years before. It's a picture of someone stepping up to help another person in desperate need, consulting God about it, and offering both practical and spiritual support. This moment became significant later when Saul learned about it and held it against Ahimelech, but it shows us what faithfulness and kindness look like when someone is vulnerable and running for their life.
