What does 1 Samuel 19:13 mean?
Michal, King Saul's daughter and David's wife, was protecting her husband from her father's murderous rage. When Saul's soldiers came to capture David at their home, she quickly fashioned a dummy in their bed using a household idol (the teraphim) as a head, added a goat-hair pillow to disguise its shape, and covered it all with blankets.
