What does 1 Samuel 13:3 mean?

Jonathan makes a bold military move against the occupying Philistines, and his father King Saul seizes the moment to rally the entire nation. By sounding the trumpet and spreading word throughout the land, Saul transforms what could have been one man's act of courage into a national call to arms, inviting all the Hebrew people to join the resistance. There's something powerful here about how individual boldness, when recognized and amplified by leadership, can awaken courage in a whole community. Sometimes what we need isn't permission to act, but someone willing to say out loud: "Others are stepping up, and you can too."
