1 Peter 2:7
“For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone,””
What does 1 Peter 2:7 mean?
When you trust in Jesus, you're part of something precious and honored, even if the world around you doesn't recognize it that way. Peter is saying that those who reject Jesus (the stone the builders dismissed as worthless) don't realize they're actually rejecting the very foundation on which everything stable is built. The builders' rejection didn't diminish the stone's true value, just as people's disbelief doesn't change who Jesus actually is. If you're believing when others scoff, you're on the side of what's real and enduring, not on the side of those who missed it.
