What does 1 Kings 5:18 mean?
King Solomon was preparing to build the temple in Jerusalem, and this verse shows how the enormous task required skilled workers from different places working together. Solomon had his own builders, King Hiram of Tyre (a neighboring kingdom) sent skilled craftsmen, and workers from Gebal (modern-day Byblos, famous for stonework) were brought in to help. Each group brought their own expertise: cutting stone, preparing lumber, and shaping materials so everything would fit together perfectly. This reminds us that even in a project dedicated to God, practical wisdom matters.
