What does 1 Kings 5:16 mean?

Solomon's massive building projects, particularly the temple, required enormous coordination and workforce management. This verse captures just one layer of that organization: beyond the top-level administrators, there were over three thousand supervisors directly overseeing the laborers themselves. It's a reminder that even ambitious, God-honoring work requires practical structure, clear chains of responsibility, and many people working faithfully in less visible roles. Those supervisors weren't famous, but without them, nothing would have gotten built.
