What does 1 Kings 19:14 mean?
Elijah is pouring out his despair to God after fleeing from Queen Jezebel, who wants him dead. He feels utterly alone in his faithfulness, convinced he's the last person still standing up for God while everyone else has turned away and become violent. His words capture that crushing isolation we sometimes feel when we're struggling to do what's right, or when we believe we're the only one left who cares about something that matters deeply.
