What does 1 Kings 14:4 mean?
Jeroboam, the king of Israel, sends his wife to consult the prophet Ahijah about their sick son, hoping for good news. She arrives at his home in Shiloh, but she finds him blind from old age. What makes this moment poignant is that despite his physical blindness, Ahijah is about to see something his visitor cannot: he will receive a word from God about what's really happening in Jeroboam's household and kingdom. The setup reminds us that human limitations, even the loss of our senses, don't limit God's ability to speak truth or reveal what's hidden.
