What does 1 Kings 1:13 mean?
Bathsheba is reminding King David of a promise he made to her about their son Solomon's future. She's not accusing him of lying, but gently pointing out that while David swore Solomon would be king, another son named Adonijah is acting like he already holds the throne. It's a tender but urgent appeal: David, you said this would happen, so why isn't it? The question carries real concern because a delayed decision could mean Solomon loses his rightful place.
