1 Corinthians 7:24
βBrothers, let each man, in whatever condition he was called, stay in that condition with God.β
What does 1 Corinthians 7:24 mean?
Paul is writing to people worried that becoming Christian meant they needed to completely upend their lives, leave their jobs, or change their social status overnight. He's saying that where you find yourself right now, in whatever circumstances brought you into faith, is a legitimate place to serve God. You don't need to escape your current situation to prove you're serious about following Christ. Instead, you can honor God exactly where you are, whether you're working as a slave, a tradesperson, married, single, or anything else. The point is that your faithfulness matters more than your circumstances.
