1 Corinthians 4:5
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.”
What does 1 Corinthians 4:5 mean?
Paul is urging the Corinthians to stop being so quick to judge each other's character and motives, since we can never see the full picture the way God can. He's reminding them that when Jesus returns, he'll reveal everything that's been hidden, misunderstood, or done in secret, and at that point the truth about each person's heart and intentions will become clear. This isn't meant to terrify us but to comfort us: if people have misjudged you unfairly, God will set the record straight. And if you've been too harsh in judging others, there's freedom in remembering that their full story belongs to God, not to you.
